Pinkston is based in Portland, OR.

Pinkston and Jay worked together and became friends in the mid-aughts. Jay always offered to support Pinkston’s music, but Pinkston never took it. On December 11th, 2017, Jay Comendador passed away due to complications from his long battle with kidney disease. He was 45. When Jay passed away, he included Pinkston in his will. The music is a result of Jay's love, encouragement, and support.
